ABOUT
Emma began her career in the military working on intelligence systems. She was stationed in Seoul, South Korea and expanded her knowledge in National Security. Upon her arrival home, she began working as a contractor conducting background investigations for individuals seeking security clearances for the federal government. After the spark went out working for the federal government, she broke up with them and began working with the King County Department of Public Defense. Her first couple of years were spent back and forth between investigating juvenile crimes and meeting juvenile clients in the Youth Services Center, prior to it's update. Working in the juvenile unit, Emma assisted in mitigation as well as her regular investigative duties. Juvenile cases were often felonies, sometimes misdemeanors, and frequently involved dependencies, At Risk Youth Petitions and CHINS petitions. After a change in structure, Emma began working in a broader sense. In addition to juvenile cases, her experience expanded to the adult world, where she often saw her juvenile clients in a different world. Emma gained experience in all cases available, including cases involving homicide, rape, exploitation, finances, firearms, drugs, domestic violence, and a multitude of other alleged offenses.

While with the Department of Public Defense, Emma provided training to new attorneys on investigation, assisted in firearms training, was a member of team who created a crucial tool for police accountability, was part of a technology committee to obtain resources, and trained new investigators.
